Rodney Richerson - Regional President, Director of Asset Management

As regional president of KBS Realty Advisors and its affiliate, KBS Capital Advisors, Rodney Richerson oversees all acquisition, asset management and disposition activities within the central United States. This portfolio consists of 51 assets containing approximately 11.1 million square feet. Mr. Richerson is also a member of the Investment Committee, which evaluates and authorizes all new investment opportunities for the company.

In addition, as director of asset management, Mr. Richerson oversees nine asset managers in Newport Beach, California, Boston and New York and contributes to the development of leasing operational strategies and objectives company-wide. He has served in this role since 2005.

Mr. Richerson joined KBS in February 1994 as an asset manager; he has managed office, industrial, single and multi-family residential equity and debt assets.

Prior to KBS, Mr. Richerson was director of finance in the Mexico City office of Koll/Cushman Realty Mexico. In this capacity, he was responsible for all of the accounting and finances of KCRM as well as overseeing the company’s Financial Analysis Group. In addition, he provided these services for major corporate relocations and expansions involving the comparative assessment of current leasehold interest, lease/equity transactions, feasibility studies, development assignments, and joint ventures. Prior to KCRM, Mr. Richerson was with Koll’s Southern California Development Group.

Mr. Richerson graduated from California State University at Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in real estate finance.



Mark Brecheen - Senior Vice President, Asset Manager

Mark BrecheenAs senior vice president and asset manager for KBS Realty Advisors, Mark Brecheen is responsible for the performance of the firm’s assets located in Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan.  Mr. Brecheen’s portfolio consists of 18 assets, totaling 5.7 million square feet with an estimated value of $1.25 billon.  Additionally Mr. Brecheen is involved in all acquisition and disposition strategies executed throughout his area of responsibility.

Mr. Brecheen has 23 years of commercial real estate experience combining a broad range of skills including acquisitions, dispositions, portfolio management, underwriting and commercial brokerage. Prior to joining KBS Realty Advisors in 2003, Mr. Brecheen was an officer with PGP Partners, a Southern California-based commercial real estate firm where he was responsible for a 9 million square foot industrial portfolio in California, Nevada and Arizona.

Mr. Brecheen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance and real estate from California State University Fullerton and a Master’s degree in business administration from Chapman University in Orange, Calif.



Charlie Valentino - Senior Vice President, Asset Manager

Charlie ValentinoAs senior vice president and asset manager for KBS Realty Advisors, Charlie Valentino is responsible for asset management activities for selected assets in the eastern region of the United States. Mr. Valentino oversees a 2.6 million square foot portfolio with a market value of approximately $500 million.

Charlie Valentino has 40 years of diverse experience in the institutional real estate investment business. Mr. Valentino has held a variety of senior positions with several major firms, most notably, Copley Real Estate Advisors, Inc. of Boston, Massachusetts, and the Real Estate Investment Group of CIGNA in Hartford, Connecticut.

Prior to joining Koll in 1998, Mr. Valentino was co-founder and president of Americana Capital Associates, which was formed in 1996. He led the firm in its transaction and consultation work with real estate development companies and institutional investors.

During his affiliation with Copley Real Estate Advisors, Mr. Valentino served as a managing director, was directly involved with the acquisition or development of $2 billion of properties, and was responsible for the asset management of a $2.5 billion portfolio of real estate investments from 1986 to 1996.

Mr. Valentino has also held senior investment positions at HCW Properties, Inc., Property Capital Advisors, Inc. and Connecticut General Life Insurance Company (CIGNA). Mr. Valentino is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Urban Land Institute.

Mr. Valentino is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.



Robin Burke - Senior Vice President, Asset Manager

Robin BurkeAs senior vice president and asset manager for KBS Realty Advisors, Robin Burke is responsible for the performance of the firm’s assets in the southeast United States and will engage and direct all third party consultants and agents, including property management, leasing, property tax consulting, property-level legal, and construction management.

Ms. Burke joined KBS in 2007, and brings 28 years of experience managing real estate investments, directing third party vendors, and negotiating acquisitions and dispositions.

Prior to KBS, Ms. Burke enjoyed a seven-year tenure with CB Richard Ellis, where she served as a vice president specializing in tenant and agency office leasing in the Washington, DC suburbs. Prior to CBRE she was director of real estate services with USAA Realty Company where she provided a wide range of real estate services for the company’s northeast / mid-atlantic portfolio which consisted of approximately eleven buildings in six states.

Ms. Burke graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and business. She is a licensed salesperson in Maryland, Virginia and District of Columbia, and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a member of the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors and the National Association of Office Parks.



Steve Silva - Senior Vice President, Asset Manager

Steve SilviaAs senior vice president for KBS Realty Advisors, Steve Silva is responsible for all asset management functions associated with properties located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Portland and Seattle markets. Mr. Silva joined KBS Realty Advisors in 2007 and has over 24 years of commercial real estate experience.

Prior to joining KBS, Mr. Silva played a key role as vice president of asset management for Maier Siebel Baber, a San Francisco-based real estate investment advisory subsidiary of U.S. Trust. Prior to this position, Mr. Silva was a senior investment manager for MetLife Real Estate Investments overseeing all asset management and leasing functions for several San Francisco CBD office towers as well suburban office and R&D projects along the San Francisco Peninsula.

Over his tenure Mr. Silva has directed countless lease transactions and property repositionings, dispositions, acquisitions underwriting, and established many third-party management and leasing relationships.

Mr. Silva is a graduate of Santa Clara University earning a bachelor of science in commerce with a double-major in management and finance.



Allen Aldridge - Senior Vice President, Asset Manager

Allen AldridgeAs senior vice president of asset management, Mr. Aldridge is directly responsible for all asset management and disposition activity for the KBS Southeast U.S. region which includes Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee. He will initially oversee implementation and execution of strategic plans for a $350 million office, flex and industrial portfolio. He is based in KBS’ Atlanta office, which opened in early 2008.

Mr. Aldridge spent 16 years with Chicago-based CMD Realty Investors, where he was most recently a partner and manager of a $500 million commercial real estate fund consisting of 5 million square feet of office product located in Florida, Georgia, Texas and Arizona. He directed the disposition of 22 buildings totaling $365 million in 2007 as part of an overall liquidation of the $1 billion CMD portfolio.

Prior to CMD, Mr. Aldridge was a partner in a family owned residential real estate sales, development and property and casualty insurance business located in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.

Mr. Aldridge graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He is involved in several industry organizations including NAIOP, NAREIM, and REGA.



Brent Carroll -
Senior Vice President, Asset Manager

Brent CarrollBrent Carroll is a senior vice president and asset manager of KBS Realty Advisors’ southwest region, where he is responsible for the performance of KBS assets in southern California, southern Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. Carroll directs all third-party consultants and agents in the region, including property management, leasing, property tax consulting, property-level legal and construction management experts.

Carroll came to KBS after 11 years with Atlanta-based Industrial Developments International (IDI), a leading full-service commercial real estate company focused exclusively on industrial properties. During this time, as IDI’s vice president of development of the western region, he jointly oversaw the development, broker community interaction and transaction activities, including leases, acquisitions and sales, enabling the region to lead the company in profitability during the last four years.

Prior to IDI, he was a first vice president of CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) in the Anaheim, Calif. office, CBRE is a leading full-service commercial brokerage firm providing acquisition, disposition, construction and project management, site analysis, and relocation services.

Carroll graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He has been involved in various industry organizations including the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR).



Ken Robertson -
Senior Vice President, Asset Manager

Ken RobertsonKen Robertson joined KBS Realty Advisors in September 2010 as a senior vice president and asset manager. Mr. Robertson is responsible for the implementation and execution of the strategic business plan for each property in his portfolio, and is focused on achieving the cash flow yields, occupancy, and leasing goals that exceed the investment objectives of each asset.

Mr. Robertson will be covering the Dallas and Austin, Texas portfolio in the Central Region. Ken comes to KBS after nine years as president of TR Realty Partners, a boutique real estate investment and advisory firm specializing in identifying high-quality, value-added investment opportunities and implementing business plans for each. Ken also has experience as a tenant representation broker, having spent seven years as a vice president with the Staubach Company as well as four years with Equis Corp. and Meridian Pacific.

Mr. Robertson completed his BS in Business Administration at California State Long Beach. He is a member of the California Receivers Forum, Urband Land Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers. Ken currently holds a California Real Estate Broker’s License.



Giovanni Cordoves -
Assistant Vice President, Asset Manager

Giovanni CordovesAs Assistant Vice President, Giovanni Cordoves is responsible for assisting in acquisition, asset management and disposition activities within the Central United States. Mr. Cordoves works on a number of properties within the KBS portfolio, which consists of 51 assets containing approximately 11.1 million square feet.

Mr. Cordoves joined KBS in June 2007 as an asset management associate, where he was responsible for the financial analysis of more than 40 KBS commercial and industrial assets, and worked with property management and leasing teams to provide direct asset management leadership for a handful of high-profile properties acquired by KBS Realty Advisors, KBS REIT I and KBS REIT II.

Prior to KBS, Cordoves served as a senior associate at Ernst & Young LLP for three years where he provided a variety of professional services for several Southern California real estate firms including KBS.

Mr. Cordoves received a master’s degree in accounting from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame and bachelor’s degrees in both business administration and accounting from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and Leventhal School of Accounting. Cordoves is also a certified public accountant and a licensed real estate broker.
