Hans Henselman Promoted to Chief Operating Officer of KBS Capital Markets Group

Financial Industry Veteran Will Continue to Serve as Chief Compliance Officer

Newport Beach, Calif. - January 18, 2010: Hans Henselman, chief compliance officer of KBS Capital Markets Group (KBS-CMG) since 2005, has expanded his role at the Newport Beach, Calif.-based affiliate of KBS Capital Advisors and KBS Realty Advisors to include that of chief operating officer.

In his newly amplified role, the 20-year financial industries veteran will work directly with Mike Crimmins, KBS-CMG managing director and chief executive officer, to direct all non-sales activities at the company, including marketing, operations, finance and human resources, while continuing to serve as KBS-CMG chief compliance officer.

"Hans has been instrumental in the growth of KBS Capital Markets Group and our portfolio of KBS Real Estate Investment Trusts since the day he joined the company,” explained Crimmins. “His experience, regulatory relationships and keen knowledge of both the industry and KBS will prove pivotal as we expand our brand and REIT product offerings in the months and years to come. As existing KBS-CMG chief compliance officer, Henselman is responsible for meeting all of the company’s securities regulatory requirements established by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Financial Regulatory Association (FINRA).

Prior to joining KBS, Henselman served for more than 12 years with WM Financial Services, Washington Mutual’s retail broker/dealer affiliate, most recently as chief compliance officer, first vice president. In this capacity, he provided compliance management and oversight in areas ranging from regulatory and internal examinations, dispute resolution, transaction review, product due diligence and multiple broker/dealer acquisitions to a clearing firm conversion and the implementation of incremental sales channels.

A resident of Huntington Beach, Calif., Henselman received his bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in investments from Long Beach State University in Long Beach, Calif.
