Richard Gann Joins KBS Capital Markets Group to Oversee Product Marketing

Real Estate Securities Marketing Expert to Raise the Profile of KBS REITs Within the Investment Broker Community

Newport Beach, Calif. - March 18, 2010: KBS Capital Markets Group (KBS-CMG), an affiliate of KBS Capital Advisors and KBS Realty Advisors, and the dealer-manager for KBS Real Estate Investment Trust II and KBS Strategic Opportunity REIT, has added Richard Gann as vice president and marketing director.

In his newly created role, Gann will oversee all strategic marketing functions for KBS REIT distribution, including campaign development and sales-support initiatives. He will work with KBS REIT II, as well as KBS Strategic Opportunity REIT and KBS Legacy Partners Apartment REIT, for which KBS filed registrations on January 8, 2009, and August 19, 2009, respectively.

Prior to joining KBS, Gann spent three years with Grubb & Ellis Company, where he served as senior vice president at the firm’s national headquarters in Santa Ana, Calif. In this capacity, he supervised the broker sales training program for the entire company, and managed a sales force of 50+ registered securities representatives located around the country. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales and marketing for Grubb & Ellis Realty Investors, and managed marketing, training and event activities for the company’s REIT and TIC sales programs.

Gann previously held positions with Citigroup and LPL, after transitioning from a career as a transactional attorney focused on real estate, property taxation and estate planning. A veteran public speaker, Gann recently published a book, “How to Give Presentations that Win.”

A resident of Ladera Ranch, Calif., Gann received his bachelor’s degree in political science from UCLA and his juris doctorate degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego. He is a registered securities principal, licensed real estate broker and member of the State Bar of California.
